Public Consultation on Surgical Artificial Insemination in Greyhounds
On 18 June 2024, the Minister for Agriculture, Food & the Marine announced a public consultation on surgical artificial insemination in greyhounds asking "Should the practice of carrying out surgical artificial insemination in greyhounds be banned or not".
While this consultation pre-dated the establishment of Dog Law Ireland, some of our founders prepared this informational post for social media encouraging people to respond and call for a full ban ahead of the 26 July 2024 deadline.
More than a year later, we still await the outcome of this consultation.
